The ideal candidate is a working leader with deep metrology expertise, strong people skills, and the ability to drive consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The Role

- Lead and support a team of inspection and metrology technicians, ensuring adherence to quality standards, inspection plans, and production schedules.
- Act as the technical point of contact for measurement strategy, CMM execution, and inspection troubleshooting on the production floor.
- Ensure CMM programs and inspection methods are executed in a repeatable, efficient manner; partner with engineering to improve cycle time and robustness.
- Coordinate workload, staffing, and equipment utilization to support short- and long-term production and program needs.
- Partner closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Production teams to resolve inspection issues, support RCCAs, and improve manufacturability.
- Drive adherence to quality systems, customer requirements, and internal standards (ISO, AS, drawing requirements, control plans).
- Review inspection results, identify trends, and escalate quality risks; support containment and corrective actions as needed.
- Support the deployment of new metrology technologies, automation efforts, and fixturing solutions to improve repeatability and throughput.
- Coach, train, and mentor technicians on GD&T interpretation, inspection techniques, reporting standards, and best practices.
- Ensure accurate documentation of inspection activities, nonconformances, and measurement records.
