- Test Execution: Run tests, evaluate and analyze the results, and share findings with the wider engineering team.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for test procedures and results.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to existing test procedures to increase efficiency and reliability.
- Root Cause Analysis: Investigate product-related quality issues to determine their root cause.
- Production Support: Support the production team in troubleshooting and resolving test-related issues.
Essential Skills
- Background: Degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field.
- Mechatronic Testing: Industry experience testing, verifying, and analyzing mechatronic systems.
- Mechanical Design: Experience in mechanical design, including test benches and fixtures, using tools such as SolidWorks, 3DEXPERIENCE, or PDM software.
- Lab Work: Hands-on mechanical lab experience, such as drilling and assembly.
- Sensor Familiarity: Familiarity with sensor applications such as force and torque sensors.
Beneficial Skills
- Test Automation: Experience automating test benches and robotic systems, for example using Python or PLC programming.
- Automation Interfaces: Familiarity with embedded and industrial communication interfaces such as CAN, SPI, OPC UA, or EtherCAT, and the Linux/Unix environments (e.g., Bash) used to work with them.
- Quality Tools: Experience with requirements management and quality management tools such as Jama or SAP.
