DRW is a diversified trading firm with over 3 decades of experience bringing sophisticated technology and exceptional people together to operate in markets around the world. We value autonomy and the ability to quickly pivot to capture opportunities, so we operate using our own capital and trading at our own risk.
Headquartered in Chicago with offices throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Asia, we trade a variety of asset classes including Fixed Income, ETFs, Equities, FX, Commodities and Energy across all major global markets. We have also leveraged our expertise and technology to expand into three non-traditional strategies: real estate, venture capital and cryptoassets.
We operate with respect, curiosity and open minds. The people who thrive here share our belief that it’s not just what we do that matters–it's how we do it. DRW is a place of high expectations, integrity, innovation and a willingness to challenge consensus.
As a Senior Atlassian Engineer, you will develop and manage our Atlassian platform (Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence) and its integrations, and help business units adopt it into their processes. The role balances deep technical and workflow expertise with strong communication skills. You’ll run the platform like an internal product, not a ticketing system: owning outcomes, modernizing how DRW works, and leading the adoption of AI-native workflows across the firm.
You’ll be right at home if you:
- Have 5+ years of experience as a Jira Administrator, Developer, Architect or similar role, supporting Jira, JSM, and Confluence in an enterprise, multi-team environment.
- Deep Jira development expertise, from custom workflows to advanced scripting, ideally in an Agile environment.
- Experience administering and supporting Confluence, including spaces, permissions, templates, and apps.
- Experience migrating Jira and Confluence from Data Center to Cloud, including planning, data validation, and cutover, is a must.
- Hands-on experience with Jira Service Management (JSM) and ITSM best practices, including designing and configuring complex service desk workflows.
- Experience building HR and enterprise service workflows in JSM, such as onboarding, offboarding, access requests, and employee case management.
- Experience designing and managing Jira Assets (CMDB), including object schemas, data imports and integrations, and linking assets to service requests and workflows, is a plus.
- Experience with third-party integrations (e.g., Slack, SharePoint, Exalate) and building custom ones using REST APIs, webhooks, and middleware (e.g., MuleSoft, Zapier); scripting in Python, Groovy, or JavaScript is a strong plus.
