About the Role
This is the senior technical seat in our Orange County shop. As a Senior EV Reconditioning Technician, you own the complex diagnostic and heavy repair work that the rest of the team escalates to you — high-voltage battery, charging, drivetrain, drivability, and software issues across multiple EV platforms. You’ll set the quality and safety standard, sign off on vehicles before they’re listed for retail, and mentor the junior technicians coming up behind you. It’s a role for an experienced diagnostician who works with high ownership and wants to help build a recon operation from the ground up.
What You’ll Do
- Lead diagnosis and repair across high-voltage battery, charging, drivetrain, thermal, and software systems
- Resolve complex drivability, electrical, and NVH issues using OEM diagnostic software, scan tools, meters, and oscilloscopes
- Perform heavy mechanical repairs, suspension and alignment work, and ADAS calibration
- Safely service and isolate high-voltage systems in accordance with OEM and Ever procedures
- Own final quality sign-off on reconditioned vehicles before retail listing
- Read wiring diagrams and schematics and interpret CAN/LIN network faults
- Mentor and develop junior technicians, and provide feedback to leadership on process and quality
- Document diagnostics and repairs thoroughly and accurately in Ever’s internal systems
