Business Development Representative

Emergent builds autonomous coding agents that replace traditional software development by generating, testing, and deploying production applications directly from plain-language intent. Our systems run in production at global scale and are used to build millions of real applications.

Since our public launch, we've crossed $130M in Annualised Revenue and grown to over 10M users across 190+ countries, who have built 12M+ applications on Emergent. We're backed by Creaegis, Khosla Ventures, SoftBank, Lightspeed, Together, Y Combinator, Google, Claypond and Sentinel Global.

We're solving the hard part of AI-driven software creation: correctness, reliability, security, and scale in real production systems. The team is built by repeat founders, Olympiad medalists, IIT & IIM alumni, and leaders from Google, Amazon, and Dropbox.

We're hiring builders who want ownership, speed, and impact at global scale.

The Role:
We are hiring an Outbound Business Development Representative to generate qualified enterprise pipeline through proactive outbound prospecting. This is a dedicated outbound role where cold calling is the primary channel. LinkedIn and email support the outreach motion for follow-up and account penetration, but success here comes from consistent phone activity, strong communication instincts, and the ability to create conversations from scratch with senior buyers at mid-market and enterprise companies. You will identify target accounts, engage decision-makers across product, engineering, operations, and IT leadership, qualify early interest, and book meetings for the Account Executive team. Emergent works with prospects across North America, UK, Europe, and ANZ, so flexibility on working hours is required to align with active campaigns and territory coverage.

What You'll Do:

• Research target accounts, buying committees, and key decision-makers across Tier 1 and Tier 2 account lists
• Cold call as the primary outreach channel with a daily dial target
• Run multi-channel outbound sequences using phone, LinkedIn (via HeyReach and Sales Navigator), and email (via Instantly)
• Book qualified meetings for Account Executives across strategic enterprise and mid-market accounts
• Qualify early interest through outbound conversations, understanding use case fit, internal tooling pain, and budget/timeline signals
• Maintain accurate activity tracking, cadence management, clean records, follow-up tasks, and lead status updates in the CRM
• Operate the outbound stack including Apollo (prospecting and enrichment), HeyReach (LinkedIn outreach), Instantly (email sequencing), Orum/Klenty (parallel and power dialing), Clay (enrichment and workflow automation), and HubSpot (pipeline tracking and reporting)
• Share messaging insights, objection patterns, and market signals with GTM leadership to sharpen positioning and outbound playbooks
• Contribute actively to team playbooks, messaging iterations, and objection handling frameworks

What We're Looking For:

• 1 - 4 years of experience in outbound sales, SDR/BDR, lead generation, or prospecting roles
• Confidence and energy on cold calls, this is a phones-first role
• Strong spoken and written English communication skills
• Ability to handle objections, create curiosity, and build interest quickly with senior buyers
• Highly organized with strong follow-up discipline and cadence execution
• Self-motivated, coachable, and resilient in a high-activity environment
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven team where pipeline numbers matter
• Flexibility to align working hours with North American and European business hours based on active campaigns
• Experience in B2B SaaS, developer tools, enterprise software, or AI/ML products is a strong plus
• Familiarity with modern outbound tooling (Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Instantly, Clay, HeyReach) is a bonus

Benefits and Perks:

1. Daily Meals: Lunch and Dinner provided
2. Family Insurance: 5 Lakhs worth of coverage for you and your family
3. Unlimited Paid Time Off: Take the time you need to recharge and come back refreshed
4. Flexible Working Hours: Work arrangements that fit your life and commitments

Let's build the future of software together.
