Customer Support Representative

Customer Support Representative, CHEF iQ
Mahwah, NJ | Remote to start, hybrid within 12 months | $18 to $22/hour

Love tech? Love food? This one's for you. 🍳📱

At CHEF iQ, we make smart kitchen appliances that take the guesswork out of cooking. Our wireless smart thermometers tell you when your steak is perfect, our app-connected cookers and ovens let you walk away while dinner handles itself, and our customers love them. When something isn't working right, they need a real person who knows the tech inside and out and can turn a frustrating moment into a "wow, that was easy."

That person could be you.

What you'll do

• Be the go-to expert for CHEF iQ customers by phone, email, chat, and social media.
• Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and app pairing so customers get back to cooking fast.
• Look up orders, inventory, and replacement parts, and make sure the right part goes to the right model every time.
• Handle warranty questions, returns, recalls, and terms of sale with care.
• Keep clean, detailed records of every interaction and own your follow-ups.
• Work alongside our Software, Hardware, and Product Development teams to share what customers are telling us.

What you bring

• 2+ years of customer support experience, ideally technical support.
• A knack for connectivity troubleshooting. You know your way around Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and devices that won't talk to each other.
• Experience in a CRM or ticketing system. Salesforce is a big plus.
• Working knowledge of Windows, networking basics, PC hardware, and Microsoft Office.
• A sharp eye for detail. Model numbers and part numbers don't trip you up.
• Strong writing and speaking skills, plus a friendly, upbeat way with people.
• You can juggle a busy queue and still give every customer your full attention.
• A quiet home workspace and reliable internet for the remote period.
• Bonus points: You're bilingual in Spanish or French.

Why you'll love it here

• Real ownership. No micromanaging. You'll make judgment calls and own your work, with a manager who coaches you to grow.
• Hands on with cool tech. You'll learn our smart kitchen products inside and out, and maybe get to test a few in your own kitchen.
• Room to grow. We're one of the fastest growing brands in the kitchen space, and our team members get promoted from within.
• A team that cares. Our customers are our biggest fans, and we work hard to keep it that way.

The fine print
This role is based out of our Mahwah, NJ office. You'll start remote and move to a hybrid schedule in the office within 12 months, so you'll need to live within commuting distance. Expect occasional in-person training and team sessions in Mahwah along the way.
