The Director will be responsible for originating new investor relationships while also supporting and expanding existing limited partner relationships over time. The role requires a proven capital raiser with a preference for West Coast institutional network, deep familiarity with complex credit-oriented strategies, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Help facilitate institutional fundraising efforts for Obra Capital’s investment strategies, including structured credit, private credit, and other niche or esoteric asset classes.
-
Originate, develop, and convert relationships with pensions, endowments, foundations, family offices, RIAs, and investment consultants.
-
Support the full capital-raising lifecycle across evergreen and closed-end fund structures, from initial engagement through diligence, closing, and follow-on allocations.
-
Develop and execute a regional coverage plan aligned with firm-wide fundraising objectives.
-
Serve as a senior representative of Obra Capital with institutional allocators, consultants, and industry participants.
-
Articulate Obra Capital’s investment philosophy, portfolio construction, risk management, and performance across complex and non-traditional strategies.
-
Participate in investor meetings, due diligence sessions, conferences, and roadshows, coordinating closely with portfolio managers and senior leadership.
-
Partner with Investor Relations, Marketing, and Product teams to refine messaging, positioning, and materials for West Coast investors.
-
Provide market intelligence and allocator feedback to inform product development and fundraising strategy.
