This position also coaches and mentors unit H2F-Integrators to strengthen the unit’s organic ability to sustain performance nutrition education during military training and between drill periods.
Duties
- Lead the development, adaptation, and implementation of command-specific Performance Nutrition Program (PNP) policies and educational curricula.
- Develop and provide practical, evidence-based nutrition resources, including fact sheets, fueling strategies for field training, meal planning guides, and Go For Green® materials.
- Provide Soldiers and leaders with nutrition strategies to use during weekend unit assemblies and sustain during the “Other 28 Days” between unit assemblies.
- Conduct individual and group performance nutrition counseling.
- Provide nutrition education and support, where appropriate, to Soldiers enrolled in the Army Body Composition Program, focusing on sustainable lifestyle changes for healthy weight management and improved body composition.
- Coordinate with H2F Performance Team specialists to integrate nutrition strategies that support physical performance, injury recovery, cognitive function, and sleep optimization.
- Coach and mentor unit H2F-Integrators through advanced training and ongoing support for foundational performance nutrition education; document mentorship to at least 80 percent of designated H2F Integration Teams each quarter.
- Maintain expert knowledge of applicable Army H2F standards, doctrine, and regulations, including FM 7-22, the Army Fitness Test, AR 600-9, and AR 350-1.
- Maintain professional communication with unit leadership, Government representatives, and other stakeholders.
