About Flamingo

Flamingo is an award-winning body, hair, and care brand delivering high-performance, thoughtfully designed products at an accessible price. Since launching in 2018, we’ve become the #3 player in women’s shave in the U.S. and expanded our assortment to offer products for every routine: razors, wax steps for face and body, shave gel, and body lotion. Our products and campaigns have been covered by Vogue, Vanity Fair, Elle, and InStyle, and we’ve won major beauty accolades from Allure  and Essence. With a mission to empower women, Flamingo is committed to partnering with nonprofit partners working to help women and girls build healthy relationships with their bodies and has helped connect over 200K people to quality mental health and wellbeing resources.

Flamingo is part of Mammoth Brands, the modern CPG company behind category-leading brands Harry’s, Flamingo, Lume, Mando, and Coterie. Driven by a mission to “Create Things People Like More,”  the company is creating a new model—and home—for brands, founders, and talent looking to solve unmet needs, improve peoples’ lives and ultimately change the status quo. Even as we grow, we take extra care to maintain the small, scrappy, entrepreneurial culture that helped to get us where we are today: a company that people like more, that better serves its customers, employees, and community. Mammoth Brands is committed to making a positive impact and donated over $20 million through our network of nonprofit partners to date.

We build brands that move fast and think big — and we hire people who are curious about AI, willing to experiment with it in their day-to-day work, and excited to accelerate what's possible. We prioritize giving our team the tools, training, and space to build real fluency, so you grow alongside the technology and help shape how we use it.

About the Team

The People Team at Mammoth Brands exists so that everyone can do great work, grow, and build an innovative business together. We’re looking for enthusiastic, humble, and curious people-loving-people to join us. This role sits on the Mammoth Care People Business Partner team, supporting our largest business unit: a matrixed, fast-moving business spanning brand, sales channels, product, and supply chain. We work shoulder to shoulder with business leaders, and we laugh a lot along the way.

About the Role

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about both people and business, thrives in dynamic environments, and is energized by creating impactful change and contributing to talent density at Mammoth Brands.

As a Senior People Business Partner, you’ll be a sought-after strategic partner to a group of Mammoth Care senior leaders and their organizations. You’ll operate with real autonomy and judgment, shape decisions rather than execute them, and know when a call is complex enough to bring to your manager. You’ll be trusted to read the business, see what it means for people, and say the thing that needs saying.

What you will accomplish

Outcome #1: Strategic Thought Partnership. Be the People's voice in the room where business decisions get made.

• Partner with senior leaders to connect business strategy to talent, team, and organizational priorities, and support frontline managers in the day-to-day, from hiring and onboarding to performance conversations and team health
• Bring recommendations with the tradeoffs already framed, and anticipate the people implications of business decisions before they become problems
• Provide input on, deploy, and PM Mammoth Brands company-wide People processes into the Mammoth Care business unit. This includes the annual performance review process, talent planning, promotions, and engagement survey, alongside the broader PBP team
• Partner on talent and succession planning for your client groups

Outcome #2: Coaching & Guidance. Make good leaders even better.

• Coach and guide your managers and leaders on performance, team health, feedback, and career pathing, including the conversations they’d rather avoid
• Own the complicated people moments end to end: investigations, mediations, performance management, and exits, with strong judgment, clean documentation, and lots of empathy
• Know that no two situations are alike, and be willing to make a call when the answer isn’t obvious

Outcome #3: Org Design & Workforce Planning. Build organizations that scale.

• Own org design, role scoping, leveling, and workforce planning for your client groups, bringing data and a point of view to the table
• Roll up your sleeves on long-term planning and workforce planning, building the models, pressure-testing the assumptions, and turning the numbers into org and talent decisions leaders can act on
• Partner with leaders through restructures, transitions, and headcount tradeoffs
• Guide change with clear communication, so people understand the “why” behind the “what”

Outcome #4: Engagement, Retention & Talent. Keep great people, and help them grow.

• Turn engagement survey data into action plans that actually get followed through
• Partner with leaders on retention strategy for critical talent, including internal mobility, leveling, and compensation decisions
• Analyze people data to spot trends and bring forward both the diagnosis and a recommended action
• Use data and AI to work smarter, building tools, automations, and insights that make our People processes faster and give leaders a clearer picture of their organizations
• Contribute to culture and help raise the talent bar for the People team and the broader Mammoth Brands organization

This should describe you

Comfortable in the Gray: You’re energized by ambiguity. You can hold two competing truths at once, weigh what’s fair against what’s practical, and make a decision with conviction while staying open to being wrong.

A Coach to Senior Leaders: You build trust quickly at every level, and you’re at your best guiding VPs and executives. You ask the question no one else will, and you’re direct and kind in the same breath.

Business Savvy: You quickly develop a deep understanding of business strategy and how we make money. You translate strategy into people architecture: the structure, talent, and culture the business needs to deliver its plans.

Data and Tech Fluent: You’re as comfortable in a spreadsheet as in a hard conversation. You can work with headcount and workforce data, find the story in it, and use it to shape decisions. You dive into AI, experimenting, building, and teaching others what works.

Steady Through Change: Reorgs, departures, and surprise pivots don’t rattle you. You’re highly resilient, you refocus fast when there’s a hiccup, and you help others reset. People take their cue from your calm.

A Lifelong Learner: You’re curious, you’re not afraid to say “I don’t know,” and you turn what you learn into better processes.

Someone Who Can Laugh: You take your work seriously, but you don’t take yourself too seriously. You know humor and humanity make you better at the job, and you drive real impact without the ego.

You likely have 5+ years of experience in HR business partnering or a similar strategic People role, ideally supporting senior leaders through growth and change. CPG, retail, or a matrixed environment is a plus, but not required.
