Role Description and Mission:
Agero is seeking a Data Engineer who is passionate about data and eager to make a meaningful impact. You will design, build, and maintain the core data infrastructure that powers our analytics. In this role, you will collaborate directly with product, engineering, and business professionals to deeply understand our operational business model and translate it into effective data solutions. A major focus of this role will be supporting our finance data modeling, specifically managing data integrations for our current ERP system (EBS) and driving the upcoming migration to Workday. We are looking for an engineer who prioritizes code reusability, scalable architecture, data governance, and CI/CD best practices to deliver reliable, high-quality, and secure data.
Key Outcomes:
- Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines focused on our core stack of Snowflake and AWS.
- Build modular, scalable data models using dbt Core, designing a Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) that transforms raw ingestion feeds into curated, business-ready data marts.
- Work cross-functionally with business stakeholders to understand source systems and downstream consumption needs, translating complex financial workflows into reliable data solutions.
