The Position:

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer at Placements.io, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our cutting-edge advertising technology platform. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build robust and scalable solutions that empower our clients in the digital advertising industry. This role is hybrid, with three days per week based in our Taipei office.

If you prefer backend or frontend, that’s ok too. Our tech stack consists of, but is not limited to:
● Ruby on rails
● Postgres
● React
● Elastic search   The Engineering team at Placements tackles a variety of challenges, including big data problems, perfecting the user experience, service scalability, reliability, and AI-powered optimization. There are opportunities across the stack, and you will have the freedom to work on what features interest you.   Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain features for Placements.io’s advertising technology platform, covering both frontend and backend components.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Build efficient, scalable, and secure code following best practices and coding standards.

• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and bugs to ensure optimal system performance and stability.

• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, provide feedback, and encourage knowledge sharing within the team.

• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high reliability and user satisfaction.

• Continuously research and evaluate emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions and improvements to existing systems.

• Work in an agile development environment, actively participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other team activities.
