About The Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Network Operations Center (NOC) Specialist to join our team on-site at our data center in Glomfjord. Taking advantage of the region’s green energy resources, our facility relies on stable, round-the-clock monitoring to maintain maximum up time for our clients.
As a NOC Specialist, you are the first line of defense. You will be responsible for monitoring our network infrastructure, servers, and environmental systems in real-time. This is a technical, hands-on role where you will identify anomalies, troubleshoot initial issues, and escalate complex problems to senior engineers. If you love solving technical puzzles and want to be at the heart of data center operations, this role is for you.
What You'll Be Doing
- Monitor the health and performance of network infrastructure, servers, and critical data centre systems 24/7/365.
- Respond to alerts, investigate faults, and perform first-line troubleshooting to restore services quickly.
- Escalate complex network, infrastructure, and facility issues to senior engineers while providing accurate diagnostics and updates.
- Monitor environmental systems, including power, cooling, and Building Management System (BMS) alarms, to help maintain data centre resilience.
- Log, prioritise, and manage incidents through the ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and clear documentation.
- Perform routine operational checks and follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and escalation processes.
- Support shift handovers by documenting active incidents, maintenance activities, operational risks, and outstanding actions.
- Work closely with Network Engineering, Data Centre Operations, Facilities, and Security teams to support planned maintenance and operational activities.
