About the role

We are hiring a Head of Product. You will own the product portfolio and activation, from how employees discover OpenUp to how they keep using it, and work with the Head of Engineering and Lead Designer on how it gets built. You will spend part of your time setting direction and part of it hands-on with your team, close to the work and to our clients.

This is a leadership role for a builder, reporting to the Chief Product & Technology Officer. The title is a familiar one for a broad role: we care most about what you have built and the numbers you have moved.

What you'll do

• Own activation end to end. Help every employee with access to OpenUp find it, sign up and keep coming back. Connect what clients and users tell us to what we build, and measure the result.
• Own the product portfolio and shape new services. Craft and launch new services & products with the teams that deliver them, and combine them into bundles that fit customer segments.
• Turn strategy into a roadmap and bets. Translate company strategy and our client segments into problems worth solving, each with a clear target, date and owner.
• Drive retention and expansion with Commercial and Customer Success. Bring them in while bets are being shaped. Hear what clients are buying and why, and shape the roadmap to drive Net Revenue Retention.
• Own go-to-market inside our clients. Own positioning inside client organisations, launches and enablement, and use CRM and automation to scale them.
• Build the operating system. Playbooks, AI workflows and a learning loop that let product managers, designers and engineers make good decisions independently.
• Champion AI-native product development. Set the bar for how the team uses AI to research, prototype and build, and know how to tell whether an AI product is actually getting better.
• Lead a senior team. Product managers, content operations and services specialists.

About you

You are a builder who has owned a product portfolio and commercial numbers, and led people while doing it. You might come from product, engineering, a founding team or general management. You are as comfortable in a commercial conversation as a technical one, and you are at your best close to both the customer and the team.

• A systems thinker. You design the mechanism rather than chasing results by hand. You can go deep into an unfamiliar problem, then step back and set strategy from many inputs.
• Commercially minded. You have carried a number, such as retention, renewals or revenue per account. You can build and adapt the roadmap as a portfolio of bets.
• Decisive. You prioritize incomplete information and move on. You are comfortable telling a team their work is stopping, and you never mistake a framework for a decision.
• A real people manager. You give direct feedback in the moment because you care about the person. You build and grow teams, and you hold people to a high standard with warmth.
• Trusted by senior stakeholders. You hold your own with founders, commercial leaders and engineers alike, and your product decisions stick because of the relationships you build.
• AI-fluent. You work AI-natively yourself. You prototype and use AI tools without waiting for an engineer, and you can prioritise an AI product credibly, including judging its quality.
• Credible on delivery. When an engineer tells you something takes six weeks and not two, you know whether that is true, and you can push back without it becoming a fight.

Experience

• 8+ years across product, engineering, general management, strategy or a founding team, including at least 2 years leading other product managers / teams.
• A track record of owning a portfolio and a commercial number, and the results it delivered, not only the features you shipped
• Experience in B2B SaaS, ideally with a subscription or renewal model
• Excellent English; Dutch or German is a plus

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare, mental well-being or another regulated space
• CRM and lifecycle marketing in a B2B2C setting
• Founding or 0-to-1 experience
