**What is Box?

**Box (NYSE:BOX) is the leader in Intelligent Content Management. Our platform enables organizations to fuel collaboration, manage the entire content lifecycle, secure critical content, and transform business workflows with enterprise AI. We help companies thrive in the new AI-first era of business. Founded in 2005, Box simplifies work for leading global organizations, including JLL, Morgan Stanley, and Nationwide. Box is headquartered in Redwood City, CA, with offices across the United States, Europe, and Asia.

By joining Box, you will have the unique opportunity to continue driving our platform forward. Content powers how we work. It’s the billions of files and information flowing across teams, departments, and key business processes every single day: contracts, invoices, employee records, financials, product specs, marketing assets, and more. Our mission is to bring intelligence to the world of content management and empower our customers to completely transform workflows across their organizations. With the combination of AI and enterprise content, the opportunity has never been greater to transform how the world works together and at Box you will be on the front lines of this massive shift.

Why Box needs you:

The Box Extract team is a core part of Box’s AI strategy, focused on transforming unstructured enterprise content (PDFs, contracts, invoices, forms, and more) into structured, actionable data.

You will lead a Wroclaw-based engineering team within the Box Extract organization. This team operates within the application layer, responsible for turning advanced AI capabilities (OCR and LLM-based Extract Agents) into a scalable, customer-facing product.

• You possess at least 5 years of professional software development experience building full-stack web applications, preferably with JavaScript/TypeScript and Java
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented architectures
• Comfortable operating across both backend and frontend concepts (full-stack awareness)
• Strong technical judgment — able to evaluate system design decisions, trade-offs, and engineering approaches
• Experience working in data-driven environments (metrics such as velocity, predictability, delivery performance)
• Skilled at building and growing teams, supporting both senior and junior engineers
• Clear, concise communicator who values transparency and proactive risk management
• Effective stakeholder manager, able to collaborate with cross-functional and distributed teams (including US-based partners)
• Comfortable operating in dynamic, evolving environments with dependencies across teams
• Proficient in English

Nice to have:

• Experience in SaaS or product-driven companies
• Exposure to AI/ML-powered systems or data processing platforms
• Experience working with distributed, international teams

We are an AI-first company. This means you approach your work with a growth mindset and find ways to leverage AI to help make faster, smarter decisions that will 10X your impact at Box.

Responsibilities:

• Build, lead, and grow a engineering team (5–7 engineers)
• Define the team’s roadmap, execution strategy, and own delivery outcomes
• Ensure strong delivery predictability, including planning, estimation, and execution
• Partner with engineers on system design and technical decisions (non-coding role)
• Develop team members through 1:1s, coaching, performance management, and hiring
• Establish a strong, collaborative, and accountable team culture
• Drive high standards in execution, quality, and scalability
• Organize team processes (stand-ups, sprint planning, technical discussions) and track progress
• Collaborate with product and partner teams to scope initiatives and align on priorities
• Manage cross-team dependencies and coordinate with stakeholders across regions
• Proactively identify risks and ensure transparency in delivery
• Represent Box internally and externally
