Human Resources Generalist

Outerspace is a new type of Ops Center. We come from the brand side and have built and led operations for companies like Steve Madden, Prada, and Nice Laundry. We leverage the latest technology to support our high-growth brands and their daily operations — and we're growing fast. With a headquarters in New Jersey and facilities spanning multiple states, we're scaling our team to match our ambition. Our Pennsylvania facility is an exciting part of that expansion, and we need an HR professional who is ready to roll up their sleeves, grow their skills, and make a real impact on the employee experience.

We are seeking a highly motivated and people-first HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations at our Pennsylvania facility. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a steadfast commitment to fostering a compliant and secure work environment. Responsibilities encompass managing the daily operations of the Human Resources department, including the administration of compensation, benefits, and leave, as well as the enforcement of company policies and practices. A successful candidate is organized, proactive, and exercises sound judgment. They communicate clearly, handle sensitive matters with discretion, and are comfortable taking initiative while knowing when to escalate.

Reports to: Sr. HR Manager
Compensation: $60,000 – $80,000 DOE

Responsibilities:

• Assist the HR team to develop and execute new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.

• Serve as the primary backup for payroll processing, which involves weekly and semi-monthly updates to employee files, accurate tracking of time off, processing exceptions, validating hourly employee data, and managing benefit changes.
• Aid in the communication, interpretation, and maintenance of the employee handbook, employee directory, and organization chart.
• Contribute to the formulation of policies and support the implementation of HR-based programs and initiatives.
• Evaluate, monitor, and formally document compliance with both mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments, encompassing employee handbook training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
