About the position:

As aPre-Sales Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in positioning AvePoint solutions for our customers, by designing and delivering tailored solutions that address complex business challenges.

Leveraging your deep business and technical expertise and strong consultative skills, you will work closely with customers, the virtual account teams (VAT), and product specialists to understand requirements, design solutions, and demonstrate the value of AvePoint’s offerings

As the technical lead for opportunities and key customers, you’ll define and drive the technical win strategy from start to finish; proactively uncovering customer challenges, shaping solution approaches, and moving the deal forward from a technical standpoint. You will be involved from discovery calls, to delivering compelling technical presentations and demos, to taking charge of proof-of-concept initiatives and providing expert guidance throughout both pre-sales and post-sales phases.

You go beyond the minimum to ensure customers receive thoughtful, well aligned solutions that reflect collective expertise rather than individual effort.

• Initiative & ownership: you operate proactively rather than reactively, taking accountability for your customers, opportunities, and outcomes. You anticipate what’s needed before being asked and take action to move things forward. You own problems end to end, escalate early when needed, and consistently act in the best interests of the customer and the wider team.

• Growth mindset: you actively seek out opportunities to develop new skills, embrace challenges as learning experiences, and take the initiative to expand your expertise and contribute to your own success, the team's success and the success of AvePoint.

• Customer‑first mindset: you take ownership of strategic focus customers, acting as the primary technical advisor who builds proactive, long‑term relationships, leads with intent, and translates customer objectives into clear solution direction, roadmap influence, and measurable outcomes across the account lifecycle
