Product Designer

Company Overview

The built world generates more data than almost any other industry. Almost none of it is being used. Rentana is changing that, building the AI copilot for real estate that distills billions of real-world signals into revenue intelligence, so operators can optimize every lever across their portfolio and actually talk to their data.

Our founding team has built four multi-billion dollar software companies and two proptech exits, including Dynasty (sold to AppFolio) and Urbandoor (sold to Airbnb). Our founding engineers include the first engineer at Airtable and the engineer who led the largest code migration in Stripe's history.

Customers love Rentana: we are the top-rated revenue management platform on Revyse, with NMHC Top 50 real estate owners and operators on the platform within 1 year of public launch.

Job Summary

The Senior Product Designer will play a key role in defining the experience of Rentana's platform. Our users are revenue managers and operators who make high-stakes pricing decisions every day, often across thousands of units. They need software that makes dense data easy to understand, makes AI recommendations easy to trust and act on, and gets out of their way.

Working closely with the Chief Product Officer, product management, engineering, and customer-facing teams, the Senior Product Designer will own end-to-end design for major areas of the product, from early discovery through shipped and iterated features. This is a hands-on IC role on a small team, where your work will be visible to customers quickly and your judgment will shape the product's direction.

The ideal candidate has designed complex B2B SaaS products, is comfortable with data-heavy interfaces, and is excited about designing AI-native experiences. They can structure ambiguous problems, back their decisions with research and reasoning, and partner closely with engineers to ship high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design for one or more product areas, from problem framing and exploration through high-fidelity design, launch, and iteration.

• Design clear, efficient experiences for data-heavy workflows, including pricing recommendations, renewals, dashboards, analytics, and reporting.

• Shape AI-native product experiences, including our natural language interface (Ask Rentana), with a focus on transparency, control, and user trust.

• Plan and run user research, including customer interviews, usability tests, and workflow observation, in partnership with Customer Success and Sales.

• Partner with product management and the CPO to define problems, scope solutions, and make thoughtful tradeoffs between ambition and speed.

• Collaborate closely with engineering throughout the build, providing clear specs, reviewing implementation, and refining details in the product.

• Build, maintain, and evolve Rentana's design system to keep the product consistent and enable the team to ship faster.

• Help raise the design bar across the company through critique, standards, and sharing your craft.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in product design, with significant time spent on B2B SaaS or other complex software products.

• A portfolio that demonstrates shipped work, strong interaction and visual design craft, and clear reasoning behind design decisions.

• Experience designing data-dense interfaces such as dashboards, tables, data visualization, or analytical workflows.

• Strong user research skills and comfort talking directly with customers.

• Ability to take ambiguous problems and independently drive them to well-designed, shipped solutions.

• Expertise in Figma and modern design system practices.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across product, engineering, sales, and customer success teams.

• Comfort operating in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving priorities.

Nice to Have

• Experience designing AI or LLM-powered products, such as copilots, chat interfaces, or recommendation systems.

• Experience with pricing software, revenue management, fintech, or analytics platforms.

• Familiarity with the multifamily housing or proptech industries.

• Ability to prototype in code or with AI prototyping tools, or a working understanding of front-end development.

• Experience building or scaling a design system at an early-stage or high-growth startup.

What We Offer

• The opportunity to be part of a pioneering team in a high-growth industry, shaping the future of AI in real estate.

• Direct collaboration with the startup’s top leadership, offering a unique insight into business management and strategic decision-making.

• A competitive salary with equity options.

• Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance.

• Flexible working conditions with the option to work remotely.

• A dynamic, innovative, and supportive work environment.

Company Values

• Fast and Transparent: Speed is a competitive advantage -- but only when paired with transparency. We bias toward action, share information openly, and never let slowness become a default

• Solve It: We don't hand problems back. We take ownership, figure it out, and deliver. Excellence is at the core of everything we do.

• Customer Obsessed: Our customers are the reason we build what we build. We listen closely and let real problems drive our product.

• Candid but kind: We say what we mean, directly and with care. Feedback is a gift. We have the hard conversations, because glossing over the truth doesn't serve anyone.‍

• Win Together: We share credit, support each other, and leave the ego at the door. The best idea wins, regardless of who had it. When things go wrong, we fix it together -- no blame, just learning.
