Company Overview:
ANSER enhances national and homeland security by strengthening public institutions. We provide thought leadership for complex issues through independent analysis, and we deliver practical, useful solutions. ANSER values collaboration, integrity, and initiative and we are client focused in all that we do. Because we were established for the purpose of public service and not for profit, we measure our success in the impact of our service.
Are you a Financial or Budget Analyst or Manager with experience supporting defense programs—but don’t see a current opening at ANSER that fits your profile?
We’d still like to hear from you.
At ANSER, we’re always looking to connect with cleared professionals who bring strong financial acumen, a deep understanding of federal budgeting processes, and a commitment to supporting mission-critical work across the Department of Defense (DoD) and other national security organizations. If you’re skilled in managing funds, advising decision-makers, and navigating complex budget cycles, we encourage you to submit your resume for future opportunities.
About Financial and Budget Roles at ANSER
As a Financial or Budget Analyst or Manager at ANSER, you’ll support programs that directly impact national defense and security. You’ll help clients plan, allocate, and execute resources efficiently—ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and compliance with federal regulations. Your work will often support senior leaders in making data-driven financial decisions within a secure, classified environment.
Most roles are on-site in Northern Virginia and the Washington, D.C. metro area and require work in secure government facilities. Remote or hybrid options are generally not available due to mission and access requirements.
Key Responsibilities May Include but are not limited to:
- Supporting the PPBE process by developing and analyzing program budgets, monitoring execution, and preparing documentation for programming and budgeting cycles.
- Tracking and reporting financial performance across multiple funding sources (RDT&E, O&M, procurement, etc.).
- Conducting cost analysis, trend forecasting, and resource planning to support long-range program objectives.
- Preparing budget justifications, exhibits, and briefing materials for leadership and external stakeholders.
- Assisting in audits, financial reviews, and compliance reporting.
- Advising program managers and government decision-makers on funding strategies and financial impacts.
