Analytics Engineer (Mid-level)
📍 São Paulo, Brazil · Office-first · Full-time, permanent
Team description
Operations teams across Brazil, Latin America and the US depend on reliable data to run their daily work and decide where to focus next. You'll join the Americas Operations Data team, which builds and maintains the models, pipelines and dashboards behind these decisions, and is now expanding into retention, activation and merchant intelligence as Operations grows across markets. It's a chance to help shape the data foundations behind some of the region's most active growth initiatives, while reducing the manual work that slows teams down.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain data models, datasets and automations that power retention and activation initiatives across Brazil, Latin America and the US;
- Own and continuously improve critical data pipelines, improving reliability, testing, monitoring and documentation over time;
- Take ownership of recurring data processes, identifying and implementing ways to automate or simplify manual work;
- Partner with Operations analysts and stakeholders across Brazil, Latin America and the US to translate business needs into scalable data solutions;
- Define and maintain business KPIs, keeping metrics consistent, reliable and clearly defined;
- Design and evolve dashboards that give stakeholders timely, decision-ready insights;
You'll be great for this role if
- You showcase strong command of SQL, with a proven ability to write, optimise and review complex queries for analytical modelling;
- Solid experience building and maintaining analytical datasets and transformation pipelines, ideally using dbt or a similar framework, with a clear understanding of reusable, maintainable data logic;
- Hands-on experience with a cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake, BigQuery or Redshift, and established use of Git in a collaborative development workflow;
- Strong root-cause analysis skills: you find why data doesn't match and deliver fixes that hold;
- Ability to design and build dashboards and data visualizations that help stakeholders make decisions, using Tableau or similar tools;
- Ability to translate business needs from non-technical stakeholders into clear data requirements;
- You are able to communicate clearly in English to collaborate across Brazil, Latin America and the US, with advanced proficiency.
