This position is vital for developing an effective, firm-wide training strategy that ensures all team members, from attorneys to administrative staff, receive consistent and impactful learning experiences. By collaborating with legal experts and firm leaders, you will develop programs that not only support individual professional growth but also strengthen the firm's ability to deliver exceptional outcomes for its clients.

What you’ll do:

• Learning & Development Strategy: Build and lead a comprehensive firm-wide learning and development program that identifies training gaps, creates consistent role-based learning and onboarding experiences, supports continuing education, and keeps training relevant, current, and effective.
• Training Content Development: Transform complex information into engaging, practical learning experiences by creating and maintaining training across multiple formats, improving existing Trainual content, and ensuring employees have clear, accessible resources that support their success.
• Attorney Training Coordination: Partner with attorneys and internal subject-matter experts to capture specialized legal and case-strategy knowledge, then turn those insights into structured, effective training programs that reinforce the firm’s litigation philosophy and standards.
• System Implementation Support: Help drive the successful rollout of the firm’s new case management system by developing role-specific training, preparing employees for new workflows, supporting adoption, and keeping training current as the system evolves.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with firm leadership, attorneys, and other subject-matter experts to uncover critical institutional knowledge, identify what teams need to learn, and translate that expertise into scalable training that strengthens performance across the firm.

What we’re looking for:

• Learning & Development Expertise: Proven experience building and maintaining organizational learning and development programs, with strong instructional design skills and a practical understanding of adult-learning principles.
• Collaboration Skills: Skilled at partnering with subject-matter experts to uncover key knowledge, gather meaningful insights, and turn their expertise into practical, well-structured training programs.
• Communication Proficiency: Excellent spoken and written communication skills, with the ability to facilitate engaging learning experiences and communicate training concepts clearly across roles and teams.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with legal terminology, processes, and professional environments is preferred, with the ability to quickly understand complex subject matter and incorporate it into relevant training.
• Organizational Ability: Strong ability to organize complex information, manage multiple learning initiatives, and build structured, scalable programs that remain useful, accessible, and current as the firm evolves.
• On-Site Engagement: Thrives in an in-office role where collaboration and direct engagement with colleagues are integral to success.

Why you should work here:

• Build Something Meaningful: For someone who loves creating strong learning programs from the ground up, this role offers the opportunity to shape how training and development takes place across the firm for years to come.
• Firm-Wide Influence: This is an opportunity to make your mark across the entire firm, with your L&D expertise influencing how the organization approaches learning and development for attorneys and staff alike.
• Leadership Exposure: Work closely with firm leadership, attorneys, and subject-matter experts in a highly visible role, where your L&D expertise will have a meaningful seat at the table as the firm strengthens its approach to developing its people.
• True L&D Opportunity: Ideal for someone passionate about how people actually learn, this role offers the chance to move beyond maintaining SOPs or delivering one-off training and help create a thoughtful, structured learning experience across the firm.

Join Cowen Rodriguez Peacock in a pivotal role that will help shape the future of learning and development across the firm. As Training & Development Manager, you will have the opportunity to build a stronger, more consistent approach to how attorneys and staff learn and develop. If you're excited by the opportunity to build a meaningful L&D program from the ground up, we invite you to apply and join our dedicated team.
