Automation Engineer

Heartflow is a medical technology company advancing the diagnosis and management of coronary artery disease, the #1 cause of death worldwide, using cutting-edge technology. The flagship product—an AI-driven, non-invasive cardiac test supported by the ACC/AHA Chest Pain Guidelines called the Heartflow FFRCT Analysis—provides a color-coded, 3D model of a patient’s coronary arteries indicating the impact blockages have on blood flow to the heart. Heartflow is the first AI-driven non-invasive integrated heart care solution across the CCTA pathway that helps clinicians identify stenoses in the coronary arteries (RoadMap™Analysis), assess coronary blood flow (FFRCT Analysis), and characterize and quantify coronary atherosclerosis (Plaque Analysis). Our pipeline of products is growing and so is our team; join us in helping to revolutionize precision heartcare.

Heartflow is a publicly traded company (HTFL) that has received international recognition for exceptional strides in healthcare innovation, is supported by medical societies around the world, cleared for use in the US, UK, Europe, Japan and Canada, and has been used for more than 750,000 patients worldwide.

Heartflow is transforming cardiovascular care with cutting-edge, non-invasive technology. We are launching a massive Platform Modernization initiative to power the next generation of our life-saving medical products.

Are you a seasoned platform engineer passionate about cloud-native technologies and large-scale migrations? Do you thrive on solving complex compute challenges by leveraging the power of Kubernetes? Join our dynamic Infrastructure Platform team and help us drive a critical initiative to modernize our event-driven serverless and containerized workflows!

Role Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Automation Engineer to join our Platform team. In this role, you will help build, maintain, and scale the internal tools that power our engineering ecosystem. Because our software operates as a Medical Device (SaMD), your work will directly bridge the gap between rapid software innovation and rigorous FDA/regulatory compliance.

You will partner closely with Software Engineering, QA, and Regulatory teams to automate testing, streamline deployments, and generate the traceability artifacts required in a modern healthcare technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot integrations between tools like Jira, GitHub, Ketryx etc. You will ensure that code changes, pull requests, issue tracking, and automated test results flow seamlessly across systems to maintain an unbroken chain of traceability.
• Leverage integrated tools to automate the generation of compliance documentation, test reports, and traceability matrices required for FDA and ISO 13485 audits, minimizing manual overhead for engineers.
