Are you early in your IT career and looking for an opportunity to build on your technical skills, tackle new challenges and work with technology that makes a real difference?
We're looking for a Junior Implementation Consultant to join our team in Christchurch!
At Orion Health, we develop technology that helps healthcare organisations connect information, improve workflows and deliver better patient care. As a Junior Implementation Consultant, you'll play a hands-on role in helping our customers successfully implement and use our software solutions.
Working alongside experienced consultants, you'll gain exposure to software configuration, systems integration, troubleshooting and customer engagement. This is a great opportunity for someone with a foundation in IT who's eager to expand their technical knowledge, take on new responsibilities and develop their career in health technology.
What you'll be doing:
- Assisting with the installation, configuration and implementation of Orion Health software solutions.
- Supporting technical investigations, troubleshooting and testing to ensure our solutions work as expected.
- Working with databases, SQL and other technologies to support implementation activities.
- Collaborating with experienced consultants, developers and project teams to deliver successful customer outcomes.
- Building your understanding of healthcare systems, integration technologies and industry standards.
- Engaging with customers and developing your confidence in communicating technical information.
About You
We're looking for someone with a good technical foundation, a natural curiosity for how things work and a genuine enthusiasm for solving problems.
Ideally, you'll bring:
- 12+ months of experience in a software-focused IT role, such as application support, software development, testing or systems implementation.
- A relevant qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related field (whether through university, polytechnic or another pathway), or equivalent hands-on technical experience.
- A basic understanding of SQL, JavaScript or similar technologies.
- An interest in software systems, integration and technical troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with customers and colleagues.
- A proactive, solutions-focused attitude, with the ability to think critically, take initiative and ask questions when needed.
- A willingness to learn new technologies and develop your technical capabilities.
Any exposure to healthcare technologies or integration standards such as HL7 and FHIR would be a bonus, but certainly isn't essential.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who enjoys getting stuck into technical challenges, is keen to keep learning and wants to build a career in software implementation.
