Client Solutions Associate

At RES, we’re looking for purpose-driven individuals who are passionate about restoration and sustainability, and who want their work to make a lasting environmental impact. Our team members go above and beyond, bringing initiative, integrity, and a strong work ethic to every project. Collaboration is key—we thrive on teamwork, open communication, and diverse perspectives. In a field that constantly changes, we value those who are resilient, adaptable, and resourceful in the face of challenges. If you're intellectually curious, eager to learn, and ready to help restore ecosystems and protect natural resources, you’ll find your place here.

RES is looking for a Client Solutions Associate to join our team.

As a Client Solutions Associate at RES, you’ll help drive growth and impact by supporting client outreach, internal coordination, and market research. This is an early-career role ideal for someone eager to learn the business of ecological restoration while developing communication, sales, and strategic skills. You’ll work closely with senior members of the Client Solutions team and collaborate across departments—including land, design, regulatory, and construction—to help shape successful, long-term partnerships. Why You’ll Love This Job

• You’ll grow your career in purpose-driven work. From the start, you’ll contribute to projects that restore land and water and help solve some of today’s most complex environmental challenges.
• You’ll build connections across teams and industries. You’ll engage with experts in ecology, engineering, policy, and construction—while learning how RES supports clients in achieving regulatory and environmental goals.
• You’ll gain skills that last. Whether it’s understanding contract structures, creating presentation materials, or reading market signals, you’ll develop a foundation in business development, strategy, and client engagement.
• You’ll be part of a high-performing, supportive team. We’ll help you succeed through mentorship, structured learning, and real-world experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

A Day in the Life

You’ll start your morning reviewing market activity and updating a list of prospective leads in coordination with your regional Client Solutions Manager. Later, you might attend a virtual internal call to learn more about an upcoming stream restoration project, then help prepare a short presentation or proposal for a potential client.

Throughout the week, you’ll work on tracking leads, organizing data in Excel, preparing outreach materials in PowerPoint, or researching key regulatory drivers and trends. You’ll support internal meetings across functions and begin developing a deeper understanding of RES’s services, the restoration business model, and how deals are structured—from concept to contract.

We would love to talk to you if you have many of the following:

• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in environmental science, business, communications, marketing, or a related field
• 1+ year of experience in a related field (sales, client services, consulting, environmental industry, or business support)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with sales processes (RFPs, proposals, contracts) or CRM systems (Zoho preferred)
• Comfort with basic financial terms (e.g., EBITDA, margin, contract value) and a desire to grow financial fluency

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Experience in a project-based industry such as environmental services, construction, energy, or consulting

You will thrive in this position if you:

• Enjoy building new relationships and developing your professional network
• Are curious and eager to learn about ecological restoration, regulatory strategy, and market trends
• Are organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities at once
• Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across teams and disciplines
• Are comfortable asking questions, working through ambiguity, and taking initiative
• Want to grow into a client-facing or strategic role over time
