Hotel Chief Engineer

At Ruby, your personality really matters, your time really matters, and we strongly believe we groove way better together. At Ruby, we keep breaking new ground.

Hey Sunshine,

for you, technology is more than just a job surrounded by pipes and wires – it’s about responsibility for safety, comfort, and the great feeling when everything runs smoothly? Your workplace shouldn’t be a never-ending construction site, but a place with character, teamwork, and appreciation for your skills? Then you’re the missing fuse in our circuit, the reliable constant behind the scenes, and the heartbeat of our Ruby Emma.

Love tinkering with maintenance and working in a team? Perfect! Because you don’t impress our guests with long speeches, but with functioning air conditioning, hot water, and safe systems. 🔧 What others take for granted only works because you keep an eye on everything in the background – and you’re right there when it really counts. Nothing works in a hotel without you.

Our Ruby Emma, with her 291 rooms, is located in the idyllic and energetic Amstelkwatiert, one of the newest neighborhoods in Amsterdam. Due to location it's not only just a stone's throw away from the trendy De Pijp district with its numerous bars and restaurants, it also only takes a five-minute stroll from the banks of the Amstel and pretty Park Somerlust. Taking our lead from the mariners who tacked their sails to harness the wind on the river’s tight turns, Emma’s all about using the power of nature and green energy runs through Emma’s veins.

We are a fast-growing hospitality group with existing hotels and workspaces in some of Europe's most exciting locations and many more projects under construction. We break new ground with our Lean Luxury philosophy, creating a contemporary and affordable form of luxury.
