Company Overview
Tango Therapeutics is a biotechnology company dedicated to discovering novel drug targets and delivering the next generation of precision medicine for the treatment of cancer.
Using an approach that starts and ends with patients, Tango leverages the genetic principle of synthetic lethality to discover and develop therapies that take aim at critical targets in cancer.
This includes expanding the universe of precision oncology targets into novel areas such as tumor suppressor gene loss and their contribution to the ability of cancer cells to evade immune cell killing.
The Tango labs and offices are located at 201 Brookline Avenue, in the Fenway area of Boston, Massachusetts.
Summary
As Tango transitions into a fully integrated, commercial-stage biopharmaceutical organization, the Vice President of Marketing and Sales will serve as a core pillar of the Commercial Leadership Team. Reporting to the Chief Commercialization Officer, this executive will be responsible for architecting the overarching commercial strategy, establishing our market presence, and driving the successful launch of our precision oncology assets, starting with our oral PRMT5 inhibitors.
The ideal candidate brings an enterprise mindset and a proven track record of successfully launching oral oncology therapies. By combining the rigorous, scaled commercial discipline of large, established pharmaceutical organizations with the agility and entrepreneurial spirit of a fast-paced biotech, this leader will build a high-impact, scientifically driven commercial organization. Success in this role requires exceptional cross-functional leadership, guiding overarching corporate strategy, and ensuring seamless integration across commercial, scientific, and operational domains.
Your Role:
Enterprise Leadership & Cross-Functional Strategy
- Corporate Strategy Alignment: Act as a critical voice on the leadership team, ensuring that commercial strategies are deeply integrated with the company’s broader corporate goals, financial planning, and long-term vision
- Regulatory & Development Partnership: Collaborate closely with Clinical Development and Regulatory Affairs to inform clinical trial designs, shape Target Product Profiles (TPPs), and align on label negotiation strategies and post-approval lifecycle management
- Cross-Functional Synergy: Build seamless, highly collaborative partnerships across Medical Affairs, Market Access, Finance, and Corporate Communications to ensure unified product positioning and a cohesive narrative across all stakeholder touchpoints
- Commercial Architecture: Design and scale the foundational marketing and sales infrastructure from the ground up, transitioning the organization from clinical-stage to commercial readiness while maintaining a lean, high-performing culture
