Company Mission

Payhawk is one AI-powered spend management platform for scaling businesses — corporate cards, expense management, procurement, and accounts payable, unified in one place. We serve finance teams across 32+ countries, cutting month-end close time and reconciling 99.7% of transactions with zero manual touch. AI runs through the platform as core infrastructure, not a bolted-on feature — and we hire the top 1% of talent in every function to keep building it that way.

Why Payhawk
Payhawk, where the bold builders make an impact.

We're not a family, we're a high-performance team — and that's deliberate. We debate, ideate, and push each other to be better, because the best ideas come from direct feedback. We've already made history as Bulgaria's first unicorn, but the ambition doesn't stop there: if you want to grow fast - own it; do not wait for it.

Give: Honest opinions, real ownership, a focus on outcomes.
Get: A front-row seat to a market leader in one of the fastest-moving industries.

The role, in one line

You will own a part of Payhawk's AI Office of the CFO, the agents and Playbooks that complete real finance work for customers inside Payhawk, Slack, Claude and other AI models.

What you will own

• Define and develop the product roadmap and strategy for your area, in close collaboration with your engineering and product design peers.
• Deliver on the roadmap by managing the work of engineering and product design.
• Help your team build and ship AI features effectively and meet roadmap milestones. You will understand technical and design trade-offs, such as when an agent should act and when it should ask a human, remove roadblocks, and validate problems and solutions before investing in them.
• Create and refine clear KPIs to measure impact and report progress, including how reliably agents complete tasks within customer policies.
• Drive projects with external vendors, including AI model providers and the platforms our agents connect to, and keep them on schedule.
• Build a deep understanding of customer needs and behaviour, the market and competitive landscape, and regulatory constraints, including how permissions, auditability and data security shape AI in finance.

What you will need

• A background in product management, engineering or project management
• Experience managing the roadmap of engineering teams
• Building and launching your own product, even if it failed.
• Fluency with data and being able to analyze patterns, trends, and build hypotheses.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools and an understanding of what AI agents can and cannot do reliably
• An entrepreneurial mindset and a hands-on approach to owning problems and driving results
• Genuine care for users' needs and problems
• Enjoyment of close collaboration with designers, engineers, marketing and other stakeholders
• Strong organisation, with the ability to separate noise from what matters, even in busy times
• Comfort saying no
• Fluency in English

What you will get

• Recharge properly — 30 days of paid holiday

• Covered, properly — additional medical care
• Stay in the game — a sports card, fully funded, for the gym, classes, or your sport of choice
• Commute easily — a monthly travel allowance that covers getting to and from the office
• Use what you build — hands-on access to the actual product you're hiring people to help build
