The role of liaison includes (but is not limited to):
- Contributing to the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the Operational Resilience program by managing a portfolio of Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) for a particular line of business.
- Help to strengthen the organization’s resilience framework to ensure Critical Business Services can withstand, adapt to, and recover from disruptions.
- Serve as a point of contact and subject matter expert (SME) for business resilience, providing guidance across business units, with an understanding of business and technology resilience concepts, assuring alignment with regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
- Facilitate impact tolerance setting, scenario testing, mapping of critical business services and processes, and supporting assets across key business units.
- Complete Business Impact Analysis (BIAs) with in-business continuity coordinators and business units to ensure business criticality is documented accordingly and is in line with business Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO).
- Develop BCPs by understanding business objectives and providing support and input into documenting key business strategies and workarounds.
- Coordinate and facilitate all appropriate business continuity planning activities (including obtaining proper sign-off) and ensure business recovery plans are adhering to Enterprise Resilience policy and compliance obligations.
- Organize Business Resilience testing for all BCPs and Critical Business Services (CBS), in line with Enterprise Resilience policy.
- Coordinate business unit requirements for technology and physical facilities to ensure appropriate resources are available and work area recovery strategies are documented to support business needs in the event of a disruption.
