We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer II - Data to design, build, and maintain the data foundation that powers our clinical products and workflows.
This is a software engineering role at its core. You will play a key role in building and evolving our Medical Data Server, working alongside the existing Medical Data Platform team across its Python services, APIs, database architecture, and production operations. You will also apply industry best practices to design the data models, integrations, and pipelines that make complex clinical information reliable and accessible across Prenuvo products.
You will work with complex healthcare data, including FHIR and HL7, to build reliable data models, integrations, and pipelines. Your work will make clinical information accessible and trustworthy across clinical applications, reporting, analytics, and AI-enabled workflows.

What You’ll Do
- Build and Evolve the Medical Data Server: Collaborate with engineers across the Clinical Data team to design, build, and operate the Python backend services and RESTful APIs responsible for managing clinical data.
- Clinical Data Architecture: Partner closely with the Architecture team and other engineering stakeholders to design and evolve scalable clinical data models using healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR and HL7. Help establish clear boundaries, ownership, and contracts across clinical data domains.
- Data Pipeline Development: Build and maintain reliable batch and event-driven pipelines that ingest, transform, validate, and deliver clinical data across operational systems, data platforms, reporting tools, and downstream applications.
