ABOUT THE ROLE
RootstockLabs is seeking a hunter to help raise capital for an institutional grade, BTC denominated fund that is being built from the ground up. The fund gives institutional and private Bitcoin holders a regulated vehicle to put their Bitcoin to work, unlocking yield and managing credit risk across a mixed portfolio of strategies, and bridging traditional institutional demand with Bitcoin native yield generation.
You will own capital raising end to end: self sourcing institutional allocators, carrying each opportunity from first contact through to a signed subscription or facility, and closing it yourself. There is no existing book to inherit.
You will work closely with the VP of Sales, the fund management team, and risk, legal and compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Capital raising
- Build and own a qualified pipeline of allocators across L1 foundations and treasuries, ecosystem funds, family offices, miners and high net worth Bitcoin holders, sourced through your own network and disciplined outbound rather than inbound.
- Run the full raise cycle: prospecting, first meetings, needs discovery, mandate and suitability, terms, and close through to signed subscription.
- Work with the Fund Management team on share class terms and side letters suited to each allocator, so proposals are credible and deliverable.
Market and operations
- Represent the fund at industry events and across institutional networks, and feed allocator demand back into fund strategy and product.
- Keep the CRM and pipeline tracker current, contribute to weekly pipeline reviews, and operate strictly within marketing, solicitation and AML/KYC rules.
WHAT YOU BRING
- At least 2 years in digital asset or regulated investment sales, ideally raising for funds or selling yield and lending strategies. Less is considered from a directly comparable seat, such as a digital asset lending or yield platform.
- A demonstrable client book: you’ve owned the sales cycle and know the clients, ideally raising $15 million or more.
- A strong, active network of Bitcoin holders and allocators (miners, DATCOs, L1 foundations, family offices, high net worth individuals); a broader digital asset network is also valuable.
- Working fluency in Bitcoin, DeFi, BTC collateralised lending, collateral management and fund structures, with the comfort to hold both commercial and technical conversations.
- A clear understanding of fund marketing, solicitation and investor eligibility rules, and AML/KYC.
