Job Description
BAE Systems Identification Systems (IDS) seeks a strategic, analytical, and self-directed Project Analyst to join its integrated team in support of cost, performance, and schedule management of Department of Defense (DoD) Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) projects. This role is ideal for a candidate who enjoys applying analytical judgment, improving processes, and supporting complex project activities with a high degree of ownership. The position involves structured responsibilities, but also requires the ability to recognize patterns, question assumptions, and address issues before they escalate. This role requires a seasoned analyst with a professional level of judgment and initiative — someone who adds insight and clarity, not just organization and data entry. The successful candidate will provide critical project management and analysis support in a cross-functional environment, ensuring efficient operations and seamless coordination of project activities. The successful candidate will not only manage financial resources and project workflows but will also demonstrate the ability to anticipate needs, identify gaps, and take initiative to solve problems without requiring continuous oversight.
The candidate will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to manage critical project workflows, utilizing strong analytical skills to maintain data integrity and provide the essential support needed to meet contract and program milestones in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Position responsibilities include:
- Provide project analysis support by analyzing requirements, status, budget, and schedules to oversee the progress of the entire project lifecycle.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to ensure project tasks are accurately mapped to budget and schedule milestones.
- Manage stakeholder communications and coordinate team efforts, including assigning action tasks and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee project analysis responsibilities, ensuring strict adherence to company and contract policies.
- Work independently on special projects, including responding to data calls and providing support for program-level initiatives to meet organizational goals.
- Plan and execute project meetings, including the distribution of agendas, compilation of meeting minutes, and rigorous tracking of action items.
- Collect, organize, and interpret technical data and financial information relating to Navy fleet installation and modernization to produce contract-required deliverables.
- Support risk management initiatives by identifying areas of risk and applying established policies and procedures for mitigation.
