Job Description

You will join our Solutions for Industry department
As our new Controls & Automation Project Engineer you will be part of our Process Control & Data Solutions
(PCDS) team that supports all aspects of control system lifecycles across the diverse industries and systems of our varied clients.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
• Control Systems design: Lead hands-on, detailed design efforts on assigned projects from initial information
gathering through final implementation. Collaborate with other disciplines and participate in design reviews.
Verify system performance requirements are met.
• PLC and HMI programming: Write original, well-structured code and make changes to existing code. Use sound design practices to generate full system visualization, reporting, and alarming. • Architecture configuration: Configure industrial Ethernet networks. Configure physical and virtual computer hardware/software. Create interconnections to client networks. • Commissioning and site work: Lead the start-up, troubleshooting, and acceptance testing of equipment both locally and at customer sites. Field-tune systems and control algorithms. Troubleshoot non-functioning control systems. • Documentation: Contribute to and interpret Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). Generate process control narratives and contribute to equipment Operation & Maintenance manuals. • Project management: Working with Project Managers to regularly update the Controls/SCADA portion of project plans. Work proactively with Project Managers to address issues related to project schedule, budget, or scope and develop appropriate solutions. • Organizational improvement: Act as a leader to support, promote, and improve department standards for design and programming. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Mentor and train junior engineers
