The successful candidate will provide strategic oversight across multiple projects, ensuring delivery excellence while achieving client satisfaction, financial performance, quality objectives, and risk management goals.
As a senior leader within the practice, you will oversee multidisciplinary teams throughout the entire project lifecycle, from pursuit and planning through design, construction, and closeout. You will play a key role in portfolio planning, resource management, client development, and mentoring project management staff while partnering closely with Principals-in-Charge and Operations leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary portfolio manager for a diverse portfolio of healthcare projects, providing oversight of project performance, client relationships, and delivery outcomes.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams to successfully deliver projects that meet client expectations for scope, budget, schedule, quality, and design excellence.
- Maintain executive-level relationships with healthcare clients and act as a trusted advisor throughout project delivery.
- Monitor portfolio financial performance, including revenue forecasting, project profitability, work-in-progress, invoicing, collections, and resource utilization.
- Develop and oversee project budgets, schedules, staffing plans, and risk management strategies across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Partner with Principals-in-Charge and Practice Leaders to align project delivery with business objectives and client account strategies.
- Support project pursuits, fee proposals, contract negotiations, and project planning activities to position projects for successful execution.
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, staffing challenges, scope changes, and contractual issues that may impact performance.
- Lead client presentations, executive meetings, and project reviews while maintaining strong communication with all stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Operations and Discipline Leaders to balance workload, allocate resources, and optimize project team performance.
- Champion Stantec's Project Management Framework and quality management processes across the portfolio.
- Mentor Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers, fostering professional development and succession planning within the practice.
- Oversee project reporting and ensure timely communication of project status, risks, financial performance, and key decisions to leadership.
