Why Saskatchewan?
Build your career in a province where meaningful work and an outstanding quality of life come together. Saskatchewan offers welcoming communities, shorter commutes, accessible amenities, and abundant outdoor recreation throughout every season. You will have the opportunity to contribute to infrastructure that directly supports growing communities and regional connections. An example of impactful work that our local team has successfully completed recently is the Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways, Stimulus Program, where our team served as Owner’s Engineer and provided program management for a road improvement program worth over $300M. It is the kind of meaningful, large-scale transportation work you can be part of while enjoying the space, balance, and sense of community that make Saskatchewan a rewarding place to live and work.
In addition to working on impactful local projects within Saskatchewan, you will have the opportunity to collaborate on projects across North America and in particular, Canada West.
Your Opportunity
Stantec's Transportation team in Saskatchewan is growing and has an opening for an Intermediate Civil Designer. In this role, you will work collaboratively with engineers and senior design professionals to support transportation projects from conceptual design through detailed design and construction services. You will apply your developing technical expertise to prepare civil design models and drawings, contribute to project coordination, and support the delivery of infrastructure such as roads, bridges, railways, drainage systems, and related facilities.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop grading and drainage design models using Civil 3D and produce 2D plans, profiles, cross-sections, and earthwork volume calculations.
- Prepare preliminary and detailed design drawings for site grading, drainage, earthworks, underground conveyance systems, roads, ponds, containment areas, excavations, and related civil infrastructure.
