About Carvana
If you like disrupting the norm and are looking to join a company revolutionizing an industry then you will LOVE what Carvana has done for the car buying experience. Buying a car the old fashioned way sucks and we are working hard to make it NOT suck. I mean, have you seen our vending machine?!
We are looking for people who are excited to thrive in an environment of impactful change. Team spirit is evident at Carvana and every day we let our passions and creativity foster innovation. We take big swings, set ambitious goals, and challenge each other to make data- and process-driven decisions in everything we do. We’ve been changing the game since 2013, and we’re not taking our foot off the gas now.
About the team and position
The Safe & Secure Operations Team (SSOT) helps to keep our 20,000+ associates, who work at our 200+ various locations, Safe and Secure every day. The Safe & Secure Operations Team develops our physical security strategy, technology, remote processes, and ensures each site is prepared to deliver a Safe & Secure environment from day one of operations. Our technology is the foundation upon which we strive to create efficiency. This technology also fuels our Remote Operations Center (ROC). The ROC leverages data to monitor our sites both proactively and reactively to provide risk mitigation and crisis management support.
This position is responsible for the success of our Remote Operations Center, as well as the programs and services it provides to the organization. Candidates must be comfortable working in a highly complex, fast paced, and collaborative culture. Leveraging their strong knowledge of physical security protocols and technology, the Manager of the ROC will oversee a team of coordinators to ensure the needs of our fast growing business are met.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead and develop ROC staff and other members of the security operations team to meet individual and departmental goals.
- Oversee and ensure the effectiveness and continued improvement of all aspects of ROC operations, emergency coordination and response.
- Work with Safe and Secure Senior Leaders to develop and maintain critical administrative and emergency response/coordination procedures.
- Manage multiple projects to create new services, improve existing procedures, or implement solutions to improve ROC efficiency and company-wide safety initiatives.
- Maintain the ROC’s high level of expectations and key performance indicators, by measuring results against standards; and making necessary adjustments.
