Job Description
An exciting secondment opportunity is available for a Rostering Specialist to join our Trade People & Culture team.
Reporting to the P&C Business Partner – Trade, you will become a key subject matter expert in rostering, labour optimisation and workforce compliance across the Burson network.
Working closely with Regional and Store Managers, you'll analyse rosters and workforce data to identify opportunities to improve labour utilisation, reduce avoidable overtime and strengthen compliance. Importantly, this role isn't responsible for building store rosters or owning labour budgets. Instead, you'll provide the insights, coaching and practical guidance that help operational leaders make better workforce decisions.
This is a great development opportunity for someone with strong operational, workforce, rostering or analytical experience who wants to broaden their exposure and make an impact across the wider Burson network.
What You'll Be Doing
- Analyse store rosters, labour utilisation and overtime trends across the Burson network to identify efficiencies, risks and opportunities.
- Review roster exceptions and identify potential workforce compliance issues, including breaks, overtime, shift patterns and roster changes.
- Partner with Regional and Store Managers to improve rostering practices while balancing customer service, team member experience and labour efficiency.
- Provide practical coaching and guidance to operational leaders to build their capability and confidence in workforce planning and rostering.
- Develop regular reporting and insights across overtime, labour utilisation, productivity and roster compliance.
- Use workforce data to identify trends and recommend practical actions to improve performance and reduce avoidable labour costs.
- Support continuous improvement of rostering processes, systems, reporting and workforce management tools.
