Job Purpose
The Senior Process Safety Engineer is responsible for providing process safety engineering expertise throughout the lifecycle of oil & gas, petrochemical, refining, and energy projects. The role involves leading process safety studies, ensuring compliance with international standards and client requirements, identifying and mitigating major accident hazards, and supporting safe design and operation of facilities during FEED, EPC, commissioning, and operational phases.
Key Responsibilities Process Safety Engineering
- Lead and execute Process Safety Engineering activities for FEED, Detailed Design, EPC, and Brownfield projects.
- Develop and review Process Safety deliverables including:
- Hazardous Area Classification (HAC) Reports
- Fire and Gas Mapping Studies
- Escape, Evacuation and Rescue Analysis (EERA)
- Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA)
- Safety Case Studies
- Bow-Tie Analysis
- Consequence Modeling
- ALARP Demonstrations
- Facility Siting Studies
- Process Safety Philosophies
Risk Assessment & Safety Studies
- Facilitate and lead:
- HAZID Workshops
- HAZOP Studies
- SIL Classification Workshops
- LOPA Assessments
