Contract Administrator

Join Ventia's Commercial Telecommunications team as a Contract Administrator supporting the commercial governance and contractual performance of a nationally significant telecommunications portfolio. Ideally based in Cremorne, you'll work closely with Commercial, Operations, Finance and Supply Chain leaders to manage subcontractor agreements, contractual compliance, commercial risk and contract administration activities across critical infrastructure programs. We are open to accepting applicants across Brisbane and Sydney as well as Melbourne.

About the role

As a Contract Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the commercial and contractual management of Ventia's Access Networks operations, helping to protect the business's commercial position while driving governance, compliance and performance outcomes. Working across both customer and subcontractor contracts, you'll contribute to commercial decision-making and support the successful delivery of critical telecommunications infrastructure programs. Additionally, you'll:

• Administer subcontract agreements, commercial documentation and contract lifecycle activities from onboarding through to close out
• Coordinate contract variations, claims, notices, extensions of time and requests for contractual relief
• Monitor contractual obligations, commercial risks and compliance requirements, ensuring issues are identified and addressed proactively
• Support commercial reviews, forecasting, performance reporting and governance activities across the portfolio
• Partner with Operational, Finance, Procurement, Legal and Supply Chain teams to drive commercial outcomes and mitigate risk
• Engage with clients upstream, subcontractors and suppliers to support commercial performance and contractual compliance

About You

• Demonstrated experience in contract administration, commercial administration or a similar commercial role within telecommunications, infrastructure, utilities, engineering or construction environments
• Strong understanding of contract governance, subcontract administration, contractual obligations and commercial compliance
• Experience managing variations, claims, notices, risk registers and commercial documentation throughout the contract lifecycle
• Ability to interpret contractual requirements and provide practical commercial support to operational stakeholders
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with advanced attention to detail and commercial acumen
• Well-developed stakeholder management skills with the confidence to build relationships across clients, suppliers and internal teams
