About us
AIM builds autonomy for the real world — robots that move mountains. Our systems fuse software, hardware, robotics, and mission-critical infrastructure into ruggedized, safety-critical machinery operating on jobsites across the world. We replace decades of manual, error-prone, high-risk work with intelligent machines that reshape how earthmoving is done.
Our autonomous systems must perform reliably across different machines, hardware configurations, and operating environments. Verification is critical to ensuring our embedded software and hardware work together as expected before deployment.
We're expanding our Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing capabilities to improve test coverage, automate validation, and support new machine platforms. We need engineers who can build and maintain the infrastructure that makes reliable testing possible at scale. Learn more about AIM here.
About you
You're a hands-on verification engineer who enjoys finding problems before they reach production. You have experience developing automated tests for embedded systems and understand how to use Hardware-in-the-Loop testing to validate software interacting with real hardware.
You're comfortable writing Python automation, working with C++ systems, and troubleshooting issues across software, electronics, and test equipment. When a test fails, you don't simply report the failure — you investigate whether the problem originates in the product, the test software, or the test infrastructure.
You're curious, meticulous, and motivated by making testing more repeatable, reliable, and efficient. You take ownership of problems and enjoy turning manual procedures into automated workflows.
You thrive in environments where test infrastructure is still evolving and where you'll need to build solutions rather than simply execute predefined test plans.
About us together
We're building the verification infrastructure that ensures AIM's autonomous heavy equipment operates reliably in the real world. That means solving challenging problems:
-
Automating hardware and software validation through HIL testing.
-
Increasing test coverage across embedded control systems and machine interfaces.
-
Extending test infrastructure to support new equipment platforms and hardware configurations.
-
Identifying failures across firmware, electrical systems, and communication interfaces.
-
Improving test repeatability and reducing time spent diagnosing failures.
