Relay is a digital banking platform that gives self-made business owners the tools and know-how to be great with money—bringing clarity, confidence, and control to every dollar earned, so they can turn hard work into lasting success. We do this by replacing financial guesswork with real visibility, transforming cash flow from a constant source of stress into a clear signal owners can use to run stronger, more resilient businesses.
Web Development builds and runs relayfi.com — the pages, components, content platform, and infrastructure that turn organic search, AI-driven discovery, and paid traffic into new Relay accounts. We're a small team with a big impact, moving fast while holding a high bar for performance, accessibility, and SEO.
We're looking for a Senior Web Developer to lead complex web projects, shape technical decisions, and help scale the platform behind Relay's growth. You'll work in a modern Next.js codebase with React, TypeScript, Tailwind, and Contentful, tackling architectural challenges that directly impact site performance, scalability, and discoverability. You'll own projects from technical planning through launch, mentor other developers, and partner closely with teams across the company.
This is an ideal role for a front-end developer who thrives on ownership, enjoys solving complex technical problems, and wants to make a measurable impact. Your technical judgment will carry weight here, and you'll have the autonomy to challenge assumptions, influence priorities, and shape how we build.
Want to see what we're building? Check out relayfi.com and Telegraph, the design system our engineers use across Relay.
What You’ll Be Doing
-
Project Ownership: Lead complex, multi-part projects end-to-end — define scope, set milestones, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and deliver high-quality work on time. Own what happens after launch by measuring performance, identifying opportunities, and iterating on improvements
-
Technical Architecture: Define the technical approach for features and projects, making thoughtful decisions around server/client boundaries, caching, revalidation, and CDN behaviour. Balance performance, scalability, and technical debt while proactively simplifying systems, improving maintainability, and addressing root causes
-
Performance, Accessibility & Technical SEO: Proactively improve site performance, accessibility, security, and technical SEO, including structured data, metadata, and semantic markup that improve discoverability across search engines and AI platforms
