XNRGY Climate Systems is a North American leader in the sustainable design and advanced manufacturing of custom air-handling and liquid-cooling systems. With decades of HVAC engineering and manufacturing expertise, XNRGY delivers innovative, energy-efficient solutions for mission-critical industries, including hyperscale and modular data centers, healthcare, life sciences, semiconductors, and advanced manufacturing.
XNRGY is building and expanding its mission-critical service function to support its growing installed base of liquid-cooling and chiller products. As part of this growth, XNRGY is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to convert complex engineering knowledge into clear, controlled content that field technicians can execute under demanding site conditions.
The Technical Writer, Service Operations will develop and maintain startup procedures, checklists, field records, installation, operation, and maintenance manuals; service bulletins; quick-reference materials; and other field-facing technical content for XNRGY’s centrifugal chillers and related mission-critical products.
This is a technical-authoring role—not a marketing, proposal-writing, or corporate-communications position. The successful candidate must be able to interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams, electrical schematics, control drawings, equipment submittals, and other engineering source material. This individual will work closely with engineers and field technicians to ensure procedures are technically accurate, executable, and suitable for use in safety-critical environments.
The longer-term objective is to deliver troubleshooting guidance through a technician-facing mobile application rather than relying solely on conventional documents. This role will help establish the structured, reusable content model needed to support print, web, and application-based delivery. The Technical Writer will not be responsible for developing the application but will serve as the owner of its technical content and work with the development team to define its structure, behavior, and field usability.
The successful candidate will inherit a substantially developed technical library rather than begin with a blank page. The library includes approximately 50 registered documents, an established naming convention, defined number ranges by lifecycle phase, and a fixed commissioning sequence. The immediate priority will be converting advanced drafts into controlled, release-ready documents, closing content gaps, and establishing a sustainable review and maintenance cadence.
