About BHP

At BHP, we believe our purpose goes beyond mining: we work to improve lives and create a more sustainable future. We are a global resources company with operations in more than 90 locations worldwide.

In Canada, our presence is growing with the development of one of the most significant potash projects in the world; Jansen. This project reflects our long-term commitment to sustainability, community engagement, and economic growth.

About Potash and the Jansen Project

Imagine being part of something truly world-class, something that’s shaping the future of sustainable agriculture and responsible resource development. That’s what the Jansen Potash Project offers.

Located about 140 kilometers east of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Jansen is set to become one of the world’s largest potash mines. With a US$15.3 billion investment, it marks the biggest private investment in Saskatchewan’s history, and a bold step forward for BHP in Canada.

But Jansen is more than a mine; it’s a long-term opportunity to build something meaningful. During construction, it will create around 5,500 jobs and once operations are fully ramped up, 900 permanent roles. Whether you're looking to grow your career, contribute to a sustainable future, or be part of a legacy project, Jansen could be the place where it all begins.

Why BHP?

At BHP, we are transforming the way mining is done. We embrace innovation, sustainability, and inclusion to build a smarter, safer, and more human future.
