We are seeking a highly organised and driven Senior Mining Engineer to join our Aquila underground coal operation in Middlemount, QLD. This role is integral to supporting our industry-leading autonomous longwall systems and ensuring the seamless execution of technical and operational plans. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mining engineers, geotechnical engineers, geologists, ventilation officers and surveyors to translate medium- and long-term strategies into actionable, task-based outcomes.
Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, you will focus on mid-term planning, coordinate projects, develop operational work instructions, and track technical performance metrics to ensure plans are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. With regular underground exposure, you will play a hands-on role in planning and continuous improvement, while partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve key business objectives.
