Manager - Change Assurance

As a Change Assurance Manager, you’ll sit at the centre of enterprise change, ensuring strong governance, effective risk management and independent assurance across a diverse portfolio of transformation initiatives.
 

You’ll work closely with senior leaders, project teams and external partners to provide insight, challenge and oversight across key programs. Your work will help embed robust controls, strengthen decision making and ensure projects deliver on their intended outcomes.
 

This is a high-impact role where you’ll bring together your expertise in project delivery, risk frameworks and stakeholder engagement to influence how change is delivered across the organisation.
 

This role is a permanent opportunity and is based in Brisbane or Sydney.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the portfolio assurance plan across major programs and projects.
• Coordinate and manage external assurance providers to deliver high quality outcomes.
• Provide independent oversight of project governance, risks and controls.
• Conduct project and program health checks to assess delivery effectiveness.
• Partner with senior leaders and delivery teams to identify and manage risk.
• Ensure findings and actions from assurance activities are tracked and resolved.
• Report insights and outcomes to senior governance forums and committees.
• Build strong relationships across Transformation, Strategy, Finance and PMO teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of change governance frameworks and practices.

Qualifications

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:
 

• You bring extensive experience across project, program and portfolio delivery in large organisations.
• Your background includes strong knowledge of governance, risk and control frameworks.
• You'll have experience managing external vendors or professional services partners.
• You're confident influencing senior stakeholders and facilitating meaningful discussions.
• You have strong analytical skills and can translate complex information into clear insights.
• Your experience includes both agile and traditional delivery approaches.
• You'll hold or be working towards qualifications in frameworks like PRINCE2, PMBoK, SAFe or similar.
• You're experienced in driving change and embedding new ways of working.
