Product Owner

We are looking for a sharp, security-conscious and user-centric Product Owner to take ownership of our Identity, Verification and Authentication ecosystem. In this role, you will lead how our members securely access and interact with our digital channels, balancing strong security controls with seamless user experiences.

You will own the roadmap and execution for identity and authentication, helping ensure we protect members while delivering frictionless, intuitive journeys across onboarding, login and account access.

Your New Role

Key duties include but are not limited to;

• Define and drive the product roadmap for identity verification, onboarding compliance, Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and biometric authentication
• Own, prioritise and groom the product backlog, translating security and compliance requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
• Partner with UX/UI to optimise authentication and verification journeys, reducing friction and improving conversion rates
• Collaborate across Engineering, InfoSec, Legal, Compliance, Data Governance, Privacy and Fraud teams to deliver secure and compliant solutions
• Lead agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives within a high-performing engineering squad
• Manage and integrate third-party identity verification and authentication vendors to ensure performance and cost effectiveness
• Monitor and improve outcomes including authentication success rates, verification times and fraud prevention measures

What You’ll Need

• Proven experience as a Product Owner within an agile delivery environment, with expertise in Identity Verification (IDV/KYC) (mandatory) 
• Experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM) or Customer Identity (CIAM) (favourable)
• Strong understanding of authentication protocols and frameworks, and familiarity with privacy and compliance standards (e.g. KYC, AML or equivalent)
• Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to inform product decisions and improve user journeys
• Experience delivering digital products in large-scale environments, ideally across B2C and/or B2B channels
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities and translate technical concepts
• Proficiency working with tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, technology or a related discipline
