You’re agile, keen and open to meaningful work and opportunities that come your way.
You’re ready to play an essential role behind the scenes by providing vital support, ensuring seamless project execution, and playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of transportation.
In this role, you'll:
Lead the end-to-end commercial and contractual management of a complex portfolio of light rail service contracts, ensuring alignment with TfNSW frameworks and government priorities. You will drive procurement and commercial activities across the operations phase, leading negotiations for new contracts, variations and commercial agreements to deliver consistent, value-driven outcomes. With a strong focus on best practice, you will ensure contract management approaches optimise supplier performance while maintaining compliance and minimising risk to service delivery.
Take ownership of high-value commercial engagements, including managing disputes, claims and contract modifications to achieve balanced, commercially sound outcomes. You will provide strategic advice to senior leaders and stakeholders, drawing on strong commercial judgement to assess risks, opportunities and mitigation strategies. Your ability to analyse complex issues and navigate competing priorities will be critical in supporting informed decision-making in a highly scrutinised environment.
Build and maintain strong relationships with multiple service providers and internal stakeholders, influencing outcomes in a stand-alone role. You will develop and implement leading-edge contract management processes, monitor performance and provide insights on trends, risks and forecasts. This includes supporting payment processes in line with NSW legislative requirements and ensuring all commercial decisions are robust, defensible and aligned to financial and operational constraints.

About you
You bring deep expertise in commercial contract management, with proven experience managing complex, high-value service delivery contracts in transport, infrastructure, or government environments. You have a strong background across procurement, operations and commercial management, with the ability to balance contractual obligations against financial limitations to deliver pragmatic and effective outcomes. Experience working within, or alongside, NSW Government frameworks and practices will be highly regarded.
You are a confident negotiator with demonstrated experience in managing disputes, claims and commercial risk across large-scale contracts. Your ability to operate in complex, commercially sensitive environments enable you to drive favourable outcomes while maintaining strong supplier relationships. You are analytical, solutions-focused and able to translate complex commercial issues into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
With strong stakeholder engagement skills, you thrive in a stand-alone role and are comfortable influencing across matrixed environments without direct authority. You bring excellent communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse groups with competing priorities. Your commercial acumen, coupled with your collaborative approach, ensures you consistently deliver best-for-organisation outcomes in a high-profile service delivery setting.
