The purpose of the role is to establish and manage underground development and infrastructure construction activities for the Ledbetter Underground (LUG) Project being undertaken by Haile Gold Mine. Co-ordinate the daily activities between contractors and LUG Management for the various development and execution projects being undertaken onsite.
7-10 years of underground experience is preferred
Experience in mine planning using DESWIK.sched or other scheduling software’s (previous experience with DESWIK.sched will be highly regarded).
Experience in scheduling with Microsoft Projects preferred
Previous experience in civil or mining construction highly regarded
Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry standard software
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, flexibility, and willingness to see projects through to completion are a must.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.
Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday.
Work will require underground underground and surface time, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.
Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in an underground/surface mine environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.
