Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Role Purpose

The Production Planner I is responsible for planning, scheduling, and optimizing production activities to ensure the reliable delivery of products to our business partners. This role sits at the intersection of operations, supply chain, and materials management — and has direct impact on how efficiently our manufacturing runs day to day.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the master production schedule based on equipment, labor, and material availability; release production orders to operations and peg finished goods to customer sales orders.
- Manage Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system inputs, improve planning processes, and coordinate demand recognition for new products and plant-to-plant transfers.
- Analyze plant capacity models and report capacity consumption across product lines to support production forecasting and resource planning.
- Coordinate with production coordinators, team leaders, and plant procurement to align on short- and long-term production plan execution.
