BYD Essendon is seeking a skilled and motivated Technician to join our growing service team.

As a Technician at BYD Essendon, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality servicing, diagnostics and repairs across BYD’s advanced electric vehicle range.
Working in a modern workshop environment, you will have access to the latest tools, equipment and ongoing manufacturer training.
Key responsibilities include:
Performing scheduled servicing, diagnostics and repairs on BYD vehicles
Working with advanced electric vehicle systems in line with manufacturer standards
Accurately identifying and rectifying faults
Completing job cards and documentation to a high standard
Supporting the service team to deliver an exceptional customer experience
Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement
We are looking for a Technician who is passionate about technology, quality workmanship and the future of automotive.
You will ideally bring:
Trade qualification as an Automotive Technician
Experience in a dealership or workshop environment
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
An interest in electric vehicles and emerging technologies
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
A current Australian driver’s licence
The ability to work effectively within a team
Previous EV experience is advantageous but not essential—full BYD training will be provided.
