In this role, you'll:
Working as part of a team delivering workforce rostering, planning and operational readiness outcomes, this role plays a key part in ensuring Transport for NSW has the right people, in the right place, at the right time to meet service delivery needs. This role will see you design, develop and maintain compliant and efficient workforce rosters, analyse workforce data and patterns, and collaborate closely with operational leaders to support day of operations readiness.
You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, workforce planning tools and systems, and help strengthen the employee experience through fair, transparent and sustainable rostering practices. You will lead and shape effective rostering and resource optimisation solutions in a complex, fast paced operational environment with competing priorities, diverse stakeholder needs and rigorous industrial and compliance requirements.

About you
You’re an experienced workforce planning and rostering professional with a strong track record working in large, complex and operationally diverse organisations. You bring practical experience in workforce planning, rostering and resource optimisation, supported by a solid understanding of workforce management systems, rostering tools and data analytics. You have working knowledge of industrial agreements, compliance requirements and workforce governance processes, and you’re confident applying these in an operational setting. Your strong analytical, problem solving and stakeholder engagement skills enable you to support collaborative decision making and deliver effective, sustainable rostering outcomes.
You’ll hold tertiary qualifications or have equivalent industry based experience, along with demonstrated experience managing the delivery of rostering or workforce scheduling services within a large and complex operational environment. This is a Temporary Fixed Term role until 30 June 2027, based in Transport Management Centre (TMC) -Eveleigh. The salary for this position is a Transport Grade 8 ($141,678- $158,677) per annum plus superannuation.
