What We Do
At Goldman Sachs, our Engineers don’t just build systems — we build platforms that power global markets. We connect people, capital, and ideas by solving complex engineering challenges at scale. Our teams design resilient, low-latency systems, leverage cloud and AI technologies, and transform data into actionable insights across the firm.
Engineering sits at the center of our business, and we are looking for exceptional technologists who can combine strong backend expertise with modern full-stack capabilities to build next-generation platforms.
Asset & Wealth Management (AWM)
Our Asset & Wealth Management division focuses on delivering innovative investment and advisory solutions globally. Translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions in collaboration with Product and Business stakeholders
Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices for code quality, system reliability, and maintainability
Drive integration of Generative AI capabilities, including LLM-based solutions, into platform architecture
Build and optimize production systems, improving observability, reliability, and deployment processes
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior capacity.
Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
Hands-on experience designing high-throughput, distributed systems
Experience building event-driven architectures (Kafka, Redpanda, EventBridge, or similar)
Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) and relational databases
Experience with AWS cloud services and modern DevOps practices
Strong understanding of system design, performance optimization, and scalability
Preferred Qualifications
Experience contributing to full-stack applications using Angular or React
Hands-on experience with Generative AI / LLM integration, including:
AWS Bedrock or similar platforms
Vector databases
Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
Experience in financial services, wealth management, or trading platforms
Experience building event-driven, real-time processing systems at scale
Proven experience acting as a technical lead or senior contributor, guiding teams and driving architecture decisions
